OT / PT - Occupational Therapy / Physiotherapy
Occupational Therapy (OT) aims to support children and young people in getting the most from their lives and achieving their potential. Occupational Therapists (OT's) work with other key people involved in children and young people's lives such as families, other health profesionals, education and social care colleagues.
Physiotherapy aims to help and treat children and young people with physical problems as well as providing support to their families and carers.
Following an assessment, physiotherapy programmes are devised in collaboration with both the child and their family/carer. Treatment is incorporated into simple, everyday activities. Advice and training are provided so the family can help and encourage the child to practice their physiotherapy programmes
